Replica Specimen from The Mausonian Archaeological Dragon Collection
Chesley Nomination for Best 3-Dimensional Art 2005
This is the second of three copper tiles excavated from the ruins of the legendary Castle of Aarhg in the Caithness region of Scotland. Originally located at the base of the southeastern foundation corner, it is believed to have functioned as a ward against evil forces. Restored to its original beauty, it is now displayed in the Archaelogical and Antiquities wing of the Mausonian.
A faithful 1:1 scale reproduction resin cast has been made of this unique ward. The replica measures just shy of 5 x 5" and is hand finished.
