Stroma Light

Stroma Light, Passage to the Orkneys

Another tale in the mercurial weather of Scotland. We were taking the ferry to the Orkney Islands. The day started fair then rapidly went near dark with an approaching ocean storm. Large sections of ocean began to lift, distant breakers got larger and a break in the clouds afforded us this lovely view of the bright white lighthouse station on the northern tip of the isle. Oil on masonite, 20 x 28".
