Dailies Gallery

A painting a day. With an ever increasing usage of the computer to do commercial work, I fear for my skills with actual paint and brushes so I have re-instituted painting dailies every morning to keep me fresh and as a vehicle to explore new materials.

These are executed in 40 minutes, using a timer to help me keep me honest. This sort of painting really will free you from noodling. 'Dailies' is a concept that I have practiced through the years and suggested to those who are looking to just paint and get on with it.

A Painting A Day

Ok..OK...so they aren't daily. I do paint near everyday. It might be digital, oil or sometimes goauche and other water media experiments but I do do it near everyday. What I don't do is post everyday. That is the tough one. Part of the reason is Life just getting her big butt in my way, usually by waving offers of interesting curiosities and explorations of things that I haven't seen yet. At times, she does this so much so that I can't see the forest from the trees. Another reason is waiting for oils to dry so I can scan them. By the time they do, they are buried behind other stuff and forgotten by the new and exciting curiosities. Photos seem to work for me only sporadically. A.D.D., you say? Yes and proud of it! So I offer my apologies and you have my earnest promise of a near daily piece of work...........I hope.

So click this link:

Battleduck Blog

Thanks bunches, happy viewing and cheers!
