Plagiosuchus sp.European in origin, Plagiosuchus sp. were large amphibian-like creatures called temnospondyls. Resembling salamanders two meters long with external gills and dorsal armor, these acquatic bottom dwellers spent their time lying in wait for the unwary to come within reach. Triassic (235 MYA).
