Pliosaurs were a group of plesiosaurs. Shorter necks coupled with four powerful flippers enabled them to move rapidly through the water. Liopleurodon, a pliosaur 25 meters in length, was the biggest carnivore that ever existed. Jurassic-Cretaceous (205 - 66 MYA).
