Puffin StudyThe Common or Atlantic Puffin is one of three species of puffin. This rather small bird spends most of its time in the North Atlantic Ocean, hunting fish and small crustaceans. The only time it comes ashore is to breed and raise a chick. It is at this time that it develops the bright multi-colored bills that have given it nicknames like "sea parrot" and "clowns of the sea". Oil on masonite, 10 x 13". |
