Toucan: Jungle Colors

A resident of Roger Williams Zoo in Providence, I first saw this bird in the dim light of the aviary enclosure. As a cloud passed, the bird was suddenly lit. The bright carnival colors of its plumage and beak were quite beautiful against the neutral darkness that surrounded it. Oil on masonite, 11 x 14".
